I am…Redeemed

I am…Redeemed!

I am...Redeemed

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Ephesians 1:7 NIV

Webster defines redeemed as:

Verb
  1. Compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something): “a disappointing debate redeemed by an outstanding speech”.
  2. Do something that compensates for poor past performance or behavior.

The key word I see is compensation. God has shown us the extreme grace to send us a way to compensate for our sins: past, present, and future. Jesus has compensated for them with his perfect life and sacrificial death. He was our spotless lamb, slain for us. We have been redeemed. All of our faults and bad aspects, all our poor performance and behavior is now paid for in Christ.

What undeserved mercy!?!

GRACE!

Today, let us walk knowing that we have been REDEEMED!
