“I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” Revelation 1:9 NIV
These days we live in a microwave society. We hope with immediate expectancy of that which we desire. In some respects that is wonderful. It can sometimes be a sign of great faith in a God who can respond with the snap of a finger. However, it is often more of our heart’s impatient rush towards wish fulfillment. As I am on the front end of what I am beginning to see as a long journey, I am more and more thankful for the knowledge of my patience in Christ. As a gift of union with Jesus, I have been blessed with patience.
In Christ you too are patient.
Now the question is will we BE PATIENT?
