I am…a Prayer

I am…a Prayer

I am..a Prayer

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Today, as I write this, I recognize that it is the national day of prayer.

Today, also happens to be the middle of my church’s, Torch Church, fast as we prepare for developing a second campus.

It is also the day that my family has set aside to pray and fast for one another.

Not only all of this, it is My brother’s 30th birthday, a birthday that he is spending in the hospital.

There is no better day for me to remember that who I am in Jesus is the result of prayer and a man of prayer.

Each of us believers must realize that we have position in Christ as a result of the prayers of Jesus, and other loved ones and leaders of the faith who have prayed knowingly and unknowingly on our behalf that we would have relationship with Christ.

Today let us realize that we were made to pray. Jesus assumes that we would be praying to our father and be heard. We do not deserve to have a voice before a holy God. Our sin should keep us far.

However, because of the love of Christ this is only possible. Jesus died and gave us right standing with God. Now we are given the right to seek God and ask in the name of Jesus for that which our heart desires. Let us not neglect that calling!

Today I pray for our world, our nation, my church, my family, and today my heart aches for my brother. The doctors have said for months that he has no hope of recovery, but today I plead with the Lord that he be healed…that all my loved ones be healed and saved!!!

Comment and leave a prayer request today. Let me add your requests to my prayer list today. As one family in Christ let us seek Him together.

After all,  I AM A PRAYER, in Christ and so are YOU!

“Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees.” ~ Corrie Ten Boom

“Prayer is the acid test of devotion.” ~ Samuel Chadwick

  1. No one’s left a request yet?…so here I am…I’ve missed your day of prayer but am hoping you won’t mind. I’m kinda in need. I feel absolutely rubbish today, overwhelmed, condemned, uncourageous, like I’m failing…at everything. Overcoming is hard today. I’ll come out of it, I know, but for now, the heaviness is not shifting. Please, if you could pray today, I’d very much appreciate it. God Bless

    • Thank you for sharing. You know the truth that this is temporary. You WILL come out. Let us declare in prayer in Jesus’ name that today is the day and now is the time that you will walk out of this state. What holds you down, holds you back, keeps your heart heavy, and saddens today is not of The Lord and we declare that it must flee in Jesus’ name. You are wise, courageous, strong, more able than you know to conquer any and all things at a moment’s notice.

As you well know, this is not something that you can do on your own, but that Christ has done for you and is doing in you. I pray that our Holy Spirit of Jesus that resides within you walks you to joy in this very moment, not because you deserve it, not because you succeed at what you set out to do, but because you absolutely don’t deserve it and that He loves to shower His children with grace and because He wants to receive glory for that which He has accomplished on your behalf, in you and through you. I will be praying for you throughout today, Isaiah 6510.

  2. Thank you so much for your encouraging words, may I receive their strength and truth in fullness. A light in the darkness that I pray will soon flood me. May you (& your family) be blessed in return, as you pray for your sister far away. Many Thanks. God Bless
