I am…Protected

“My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” John 17:15

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 NIV

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 NIV

The world in which we live is no playground, but a battle ground. There is a real, literal enemy of our souls. The evil one, Lucifer, the Devil is after us.

He wants nothing more than our absolute destruction. He seeks out those unaware and preys on easy targets.

But… we are not unaware. We are on guard. We are alert to His tricks, and deceptive ways. We need not fear him, because we who are found in Christ are fully PROTECTED. As we stay connected to the vine we are all covered by His blood. We are shielded by the never ending love of Christ. He has already defeated the enemy and we can be at rest. We can rest in knowing that despite how he barks, the devil is like a toothless dog in the yard. He can do NOTHING to harm the Lord’s faithful ones who are found trusting in Christ Jesus.

If I am in Christ, I AM PROTECTED!
