I am…Gentle
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
In Jesus, we have ALL that the Spirit produces. These two simple verses outline not an exhaustive list, but a specific few of the fruits that come with truly having the sanctification of the Holy Spirit at work within you.
All of us, as we are found resting and trusting in Jesus are found to be gentle.
When unrighteous anger flares we need to recall our identity.
When bitterness swells we need to check that against who we are.
When our thoughts become rough with co-workers and neighbors, we need to come back to the truth that we are GENTLE in Christ.
In those moments let us fall into the arms of Christ, leaving our earthly, fleshly wants behind.
Christ Jesus has remade us for GOOD works and called us GENTLE.
Today when the world scrapes against you, remember that I AM…Gentle!
Great reminder! Thanks pastor!
