I am…Anointed
“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.” 2 Corinthians 1: 21-22 NASB
“But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.” 1 John 2:20 ESV
“But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.” 1 John 2:27 ESV
To be anointed is to be protected, blessed, empowered, consecrated, set aside for the work of the Lord.
When God commissioned us for the mission of the spreading of the Gospel, He anointed us and gave us His Spirit as proof positive of our anointing. He has chosen us for the greatest work possible, the only work that is eternal, the building of His kingdom.
Despite what you fell into yesterday, no matter how you tripped up last week, in spite of the difficulty you face tomorrow, you are ANOINTED by the most high God and this calling is WHO YOU ARE.
