I am…Victorious

I am…Victorious

I am...Victorious

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.” 2 Corinthians 14 NASB

“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Colossians 2:15 NIV

“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Romans 8:37 NLT

In taking our sin, facing the enemy in death, and rising from the gave, Jesus did all that will ever need to be done in order to secure us our victory. There is no longer anything that the devil or his minions can do to truly harm us. The devil has no power over us that we do not give him. Simply by standing your ground you walk in the victory that Christ secured for us.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13 NIV

We are soldiers in a war in which we cannot lose. However, we are soldiers nonetheless. We are called to victory, but can only experience victory as we stay in the fight. The world is going to try and get you to leave your post, to back down as the battle wages on, but rather than shrinking due to fear be strengthened. Know that you have victory in Jesus and that the battle is not yours; it’s the Lord’s.

“This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15b NIV

It is a battle that despite where we stand in it, has already been won.

Verdict  = In Christ, WE ARE VICTORIOUS!
