I am…Remembered

I am…Remembered

I am...Remembered

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” Isaiah 43:25 NIV

“And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.” Exodus 2:24

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV

“There has no temptation come your way that is not common to all mankind, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength, but will, when you are tempted, also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10 NIV

As I write this, we enter into Memorial Day. I am caught up in thoughts of loved ones past. I am trapped in memories of those gone before and the legacy of love and persistent prayer that many have left me. I am so thankful for the heroes in the faith that paved a way for my today.  I remember my Grandmother who prayed daily for me. I remember the man I was and the tears of hopelessness I cried night after night.

Most of all I am caught up in the love of a God who I don’t deserve.

Today, I remember my Jesus who died for me.

I am then flooded with the realization that every day is a memorial day of sorts for the Lord. He is the great rememberer. Even though His word tells us that he FORGETS all of our sins because of our repentance and forgiveness received through Jesus.

However, in my time of trial…He remembers me.

In my moments of temptation…He remembers me.

When evil comes upon me…He remembers me.

When I reach the gate…He will remember and reward me.

Because of the costly sacrifice of Jesus the Christ, I am REMEMBERED
