I am…an Inheritor

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. “and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1:12 NIV

“For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” Hebrews 9:15 NIV

Have you ever found yourself in times when you think that you are in constant decline? You know, times where it feels like things keep getting worse and worse, where one thing after another seems to go wrong?

Today’s reminder is to realize that decline is never the future of someone who lives in Christ. We have a glorious inheritance that will always surpass our present circumstance.

As an inheritor in Christ Jesus, you are guaranteed that your best days are always yet to come.
