I am…a Minister
“ Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,” Colossians 1:24-25 ESV
God gifted each one of us in particular ways to serve as ministers to his bride, the body of Christ, the church.
When many hear the word minister they immediately think preacher, clergy man. However, I’ve come to know it simply as someone who acts on another’s behalf. We ARE MINISTERS for Jesus.
Where ever you find yourself today, whatever you are doing, do it with the well being of the church in mind and with the understanding that you come in the name of He who saved you.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 NIV
You are HIS minister.
