I am…a Saint
“that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17b-19 ESV
“ For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” Ephesians 4:12 KJV
My beloved believers, you ARE the saints. We are no longer sinners in identity, but saints. Paul points out that we are still in progress and are being equipped, strengthened, and perfected, but we are still saints in Christ. We should no longer in title align ourselves with our sin nature, but agree with the redeemer, Jesus, who now resides in all of us believers and claim our sainthood.
In life, we learn that the best way to see people rise is to raise the expectation level. People will do as expected, but not often beyond. If we continually call one another to our identity as saints in Jesus, it will call us to a life that reveals more and more of Christ in us.
