I am…a Stranger
“Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;” 1 Peter 2:11 KJV
In today’s society there is such an emphasis on conformity. Brands market based on people’s desire to be like their friends, and various celebrities. As believers in Jesus, we have been called out of that rat race and given residence in the heavenly places. We aren’t from around here; we are born of God and our home is not found in this world and amongst our friends. We are to be in it, but not of it. This means we called to lead the culture to Christ, and not follow it to destruction.
We don’t belong here; We are strangers in this land.
So let’s stop looking for our place here. Let’s stop tweaking who we are to fit their mold.
Let us be comfortable in being uncomfortable here.
Be a bringer of the light, but BE A STRANGER.
I pray everyone sees this the way yoy do. We are Just Pilgrims on this Earth. There is a better Home waiting for us!
Thank you for the Post!
