I am…a Healer
“Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” Matthew 10:1 NIV
As a follower of Jesus, one who has surrendered his heart and will to Christ, we have power and authority to heal. As he did with his disciples, Jesus has granted us the privilege of being his chosen vessels to heal a hurting and broken world. With a knowledge of his power that resides in us through His Holy Spirit, we can approach illness with the confidence that He heals and that we are healers through Him.
Just as Peter was shown to be a great healer, not due to his ability, but through the grace and might of Christ.
“Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”
Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.” Acts 3:4-8 NLT
God has not changed, but let our hearts and faith be changed by his ever constant and all redeeming power and love.
Let us recognize that, as we are found in Christ, we too are healers!
Jesus is our redeemer and everything! We are always thankful to God for His son Our Jesus Christ! He loved us beyond our imagination!
